OFFICE ASSISTANT NEEDED FOR QUADRIPLEGIC ENGINEER

Description:
This position offers great exposure to a Fortune 100 professional work environment. You will shadow an experienced engineer with quadriplegia and assist him with his day-to-day work duties. It is a flexible part-time position perfect for a responsible student or office assistant. Schedules with varying shifts on different days are available.
JOB DUTIES:
Typical administrative assistant responsibilities including typing, computer use, attending meetings (via Zoom), note taking, responding to texts and calls and assistance with paperwork.
Typing speed should be at least 70 WPM and grammar should be proficient. Experience with standard computer applications (Microsoft Office) is necessary. Some food preparation and occasional errands required.
You must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, reliable transportation and a strong sense of responsibility. You should have good vision, with or without correction and be comfortable reading a computer monitor from a slight distance.
HOURS and DAYS:
There are two available shifts:
First shift is 7:30am–1:30pm.
Second shift is 1:00pm–6:00pm
A typical schedule would be 2–3 shifts (10–18 hour/week) based on your availability. Employees are offered a set schedule to plan around their school schedule (if relevant).
LOCATION:
Both shifts are currently in a responsible Pacific Beach home office due to COVID-19. Once deemed safe to do so, this position will return to an office building in Kearny Mesa. Transportation to and from that location will occur in the employer’s accessible mini-van.
COMPENSATION:
$15 per hour. Employees are paid bi-weekly with a regular payroll check and will be issued a W-2 at the end of the fiscal year. Direct deposit is available.
